High School Data and Resource Website High-Schools.com Re-launches
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 16, 2008 -- High-Schools.com (http://high-schools.com) has launched a redesigned website creating a more complete educational resource that contains school data and student enrollment statistics on more than 25,000 public and private high schools in the United States. The new site now also offers location maps and a search feature allowing users to easily research information relating to high schools in a specific area.
The new High-Schools.com organizes all public and private high schools by their location. A user can drill down into each state's specific city, to find all high schools located in that specific location. Each school then contains a detailed informational page that includes various data such as the school's contact information, school district, map, and school statistics. A listing of the latest news headlines for the high school is also included.
The school statistics include total student enrollment, student enrollment by grade, a breakdown of male vs. female students, a breakdown of various student ethnicity, student/teacher ratios, the percentage of students that receive lunch assistance and other data. The high school data has been obtained from the National Center for Education Statistics.
Using the individual high school statistics, High-Schools.com has assembled several school ranking pages that allow users to view various national and state ranks of high schools. Users can view the highest enrollment schools both nationally and at the state level. In addition, users can see where a specific high school ranks in its state for some specific statistics such as student/teacher ratio, lunch assistance and other metrics.
